The Sratim BeMagafayim Festival, taking place for the 2nd year in Modiin Maccabim Reut.

Five new and fascinating movies, screened in small and intimate theaters in the city: Yuda young adult center, Beit Sachlavim and Yad LaBanim.

The Culture and Events Department, together with the Israeli Academy of Film and Television, invite you to enjoy original Israeli cinema followed by a talk with the film's director / main actor at the end of each screening.


Thu 13/2, 20:00: 'HaMossad' - Yuda, The Young Adult Center, Emek HaEla opposite no. 13

Action comedy, parody on the Israeli Mossad. An Israeli Mossad agent competes with a CIA agent to save the world from a terrorist organization.

Lead actors: Tzachi HaLevi, Tal Friedman, Efrat Dor, Dvir Benedek and Adi Himelbloy.

At the end of the screening there will be a talk with the film's lead actor, Tzachi HaLevi.

Fri 14/2, 10:30: 'Kolot Reka' (Pre-Premiere) - Beit Sachlavim, Emek HeEla, opposite no. 13

An elderly couple who were the stars of Soviet dubbing, make Aliyah in 1990 from the crumbling Soviet Union, and try to start a new chapter in a country that doesn't really need them or their unique talents.

Lead actors: Vladimir Friedman, Maria Belkin, Evelyn Hagoel and Alexander Sandrovich.

At the end of the screening there will be a talk with the film's lead actor Maria Belkin.

Fri 14/2, 13:00: 'Besorot Tovot' - Beit Sachlavim, Emek HeEla, opposite no. 13

Comedy-drama based on the experiences of the director Erez Tadmor in his personal life.

Liran and Tal dream of having a baby, but are told they will have to undergo fertility treatment. What was supposed to be easy, becomes complicated, and they discover that in order to become parents, they will have to deal with a range of difficulties. Will their love survive?

Lead actors: Nelly Tagar, Roy Assaf, Shmil Ben Ari, Evelyn Hagoel and Eli Gorenstein.

At the end of the screening there will be a talk with the film's director Erez Tadmor and lead actor Roy Assaf.

Sat 15/2, 20:00: 'Katzefet VeDuvdevanim' - Beit Yad LaBanim, Emek HeEla, opposite no. 13

Existential comedy about a restless film director whose fears of failure, death and lack of control all come together on the night of his new movie release, a hysterical and memorable night - at least for him and for the people around him.

Winner of best supporting actor and actress at the 2019 Ophir awards.

Lead actors: Gur Bentvich, Maya Kenig, Dover Kosashvili and Hadas Ben Aroya.

At the end of the screening there will be a talk with the film's director Gur Bentvich.

Dark secrets threaten the lives of three women. At the edge of the abyss, they discover kindness and love, and an opportunity for change and rebirth.

"Leida" is part of a trilogy which presents an extraordinary cinematic approach that blurs the boundary between fiction and reality.

Lead actors: Stav Almagor, Ori Shani and Leah Tonic.

Winner of the prize for best feature film at the Haifa Film festival 2019.
